Volcano Boarding

January 10, 2013 ·

Nicaragua's Cerro Negro 2,380 foot Mountain is now one of the biggest hot spots for adrenaline junkies who feel that snowboarding just isn’t thrilling and exciting enough. Strapping a wooden board to their boots and layering up with protective gear, thrill-seekers set off down the volcano at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.

The constant worry whether the volcano will erupt or not is normally enough to give anyone an extra adrenaline boost! That said, the team who organise this operation work closely with the national park authorities who monitor the activity and say it is actually quite a safe sport. Unless you fall down of course!
